Welcome To The OGMS FFO!

Congratulations to the LeRoys, our OGMS November Family of the Month!

The LeRoy Family donated to the FFO Panther Pride Fundraising Campaign in October and was automatically entered to become our November Panther Family of the Month!

Please make your donation today – you might be the December Family of the Month!

The winner of the Family of the Month is displayed on the marquee, can choose an item of Spirit Wear from our inventory, and is recognized in every FFO communication! Your donations continue to provide funds for classroom supplies, staff appreciation events, grants, legacy projects, promotion, and many more activities that make Orange Grove so special!

8th Grade Promotion: It’s Time to Start Planning SOMETHING NEW!

8th grade promotion is the culmination of the middle school experience, and it's planned and produced by FFO.

***NEW THIS YEAR DUE TO MPR RENOVATIONS***

  • The 8th grade dance will be on FRIDAY, 5/15 on the Orange Grove Campus! ***

  • On Tuesday, 5/19 there will be two indoor promotion ceremonies in the Concert Hall at Catalina Foothills High School (half of students at each)

  • After each ceremony, there will be a family cookie reception as families exit the Concert Hall

  • The ice cream social and yearbook signing assembly will be on the OGMS campus on the last day of school, Wed 5/20.

We need parents of all grades to help with 8th grade promotion.

  • Parents of the class of 2030 (current 8th graders) pick the theme.

  • Parents of all grades make the theme come to life.

  • One or two parents from the class of 2031 or 2032 are needed to shadow the process this year so they can take over in school year 2026-2027.

Interested in joining the planning committee? Please email Amy Courson-Ruggieri at Acourson@att.net. A brief introductory meeting will be scheduled in November to pick the theme and assign tasks.

As parents and guardians of children at Orange Grove Middle School, you are all members of our Family Faculty Organization (FFO). Our goal is to rally volunteers and generate funds for materials, programs and events that will enrich the learning environment of our children.

What does the FFO do FOR OGMS?

We fund and organize projects to make OGMS an even more enriching experience for all OGMS students, teachers and staff. This is achieved through parent contributions, community events, classroom supplies, teacher grants and reimbursements, volunteering, and more.

Some of the past projects the FFO has helped fund through family donations include new landscaping and irrigation in several areas of the campus, new nets for the tennis courts, new equipment for the weight room, and several crucial shade structures on campus.

How can I help?

There are a number of ways you can help the OGMS FFO! A few options include:

  • Attend our monthly meetings (click here for full schedule)

  • Volunteer as an officer, committee chair, or join a committee

  • Make a direct donation to our Panther Pride campaign (and check with your employers to see if they offer corporate matching donations!)

  • Register your Fry’s VIP card and designate Orange Grove Middle School FFO as your organization of choice and/or purchase a Basha’s/AJ’s gift card from the FFO shop. OGMS will receive a percentage of funds from each of these programs automatically! Ask friends and family to register to help maximize our earnings!
